Applications
Neoprene polychloroprene was the world's first synthetic elastomer, with oil resistance that still makes it a top performer today in a myriad of applications including automotive, adhesives and construction. Neoprene is produced under quality management systems designed to meet ISO 9000 requirements. Worldwide ISO 9000 registration is held by the LaPlace, Louisiana facility.
- Adhesives & Coatings
Both aqueous and solvent adhesives based on Neoprene enjoy great success performing in contact adhesives, lamination, foam bonding and pressure sensitive applications. Neoprene can also be formulated for dipped goods like gloves and coatings.
- Automotive
Even today Neoprene remains the choice for many underhood and underbody parts that require a reasonably priced, mid-performance polymer with a good all-around balance of performance properties. It is well suited for underhood, chassis and adhesive uses.
- Construction
Outstanding performance in many major construction and engineering projects.
- Wire and Cable
Improved jacketing for various kinds of cables is possible with Neoprene.
