AquaStik
AquaStik® polymers are a family of waterbased polychloroprenes similar to the Neoprene liquid dispersions which have been specifically designed to meet the high performance demands needed to replace exisiting solvent-based adhesives. This replacement process is being driven by various environmental and regulatory demands placed on users and manufacturers of adhesivies. The grades are described below:
High solids, slow crystallizing, high gel and anionic. The combination of high gel and slow crystallization enables the formulator to achieve good contactability and excellent hot strength for post-forming applications.
High solids, moderate crystallizing, moderate gel and anionic. Like AquaStik® 2161, the balance of gel and crystallinity enables the formulator to develop adhesives with good contactability and excellent hot strength. Note that its balance of gel and crystallinity is different from AquaStik® 2161, which gives the formulator additional compounding freedom with regard to resin selection and other compounding considerations.
