Neoprene is one of the best elastomers available for dynamic applications. It has an unbeatable reputation for consistent and service in heavy-duty environments. It combines terrific oil and ozone resistance with exceptional flex fatigue properties to provide the best combination of properties for these applications. Neoprene G-Types are typically used in this application.
In situations where flame and abrasion resistance are needed, G-Types or crystallization resistant W-Types of Neoprene are usually used.
Neoprene is an excellent choice for welding, hydraulic, LPG, and other heavy-duty industrial hoses because of its exceptional abrasion resistance and low gas permeability. Good resistance to oils and greases also makes this elastomer an ideal cover compound for a wide variety of other industrial hoses.
The low gas permeation of Neoprene makes it an ideal elastomer for use in O-rings, seals, and diaphragms.
Neoprene can easily be compounded for use in industrial vibration mounts. It has terrific compression set resistance combined with excellent flex properties.
