Introducing the Global Marketing Manager

Tony Dorta was appointed Global Marketing Manager for Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer parts in 2007. He was previously responsible for the chemical processing and food and pharmaceutical markets for DuPont Performance Elastomers (DPE) as Regional Sales/Account Manager for North America and the Americas.

"The Voice of the Customer is Key"
Since taking up my global responsibilities, I have spent time visiting the regions and listening to the voice of the customer (VOC). As Sealing Express goes global, it emphasizes the importance we place on connecting to our global customers to ensure we deliver the best-in-class products, services and capabilities.

Focusing on what is critical to our customers is a key part of our business. It helps drive innovation in product development to help meet your requirements today and in the future.

Here's an example: Customers told us they needed a seal to extend the service lifetime in chemical and hydrocarbon processes involving hot, aggressive amines, strong acids and oxidizing media. So we developed Kalrez® SpectrumTM 6380 to do just that.

Kalrez® SpectrumTM 6380 was globally launched at the International 2008 Pump Users Symposium in Houston, Texas, where it created a lot of interest. You'll find full details in this issue.

With that and other developments, I'm excited to be in my new role and wish you all a very successful 2008!
