Introducing DuPont Performance Elastomers - Delivering performance when it matters.

On June 30, 2005, DuPont Dow Elastomers, the joint venture between DuPont and The Dow Chemical Company, became a wholly owned subsidiary of DuPont, called DuPont Performance Elastomers.

Jack Lewis, president and CEO, DuPont Performance Elastomers.

The company brings to market a portfolio of famous and emerging products, including Viton® fluoroelastomers, Viton® FreeFlow™, Kalrez® perfluoroelastomer parts, Neoprene polychloroprene, Hypalon® chlorosulfonated polyethylene and Vertex™ seal technology.

"With the launch of DuPont Performance Elastomers, we are building on the success of the former joint venture, as a customer-focused provider of best-in-class elastomers and sealing solutions – combining the responsiveness of a small company with the commitment and reach of a global enterprise," said Jack Lewis, president and CEO.

"First place to go for elastomers"

"DuPont Performance Elastomers is dedicated to elastomers markets, and to the automotive industry. Customers can expect the company to develop technology innovations that enable improved performance of our products in their applications, as well as to expand the performance capabilities our products provide. We intend to be the first place to go when automotive OEMs have an elastomeric need," Lewis said.
